Gold Dragon City Two Hot Combination

Shark's Fin Soup with Prawn & Sliced Fish Maw

This isn't any ordinary shark's fin soup. The restaurant is generous with the ingredients, the shark's fin soup were served along with prawns and sliced fish maw. However, we need to comment that the fish maw were served in a rather small quantity.

Fish maw is an internal organ that controls the fish' buoyancy, so that it could stay at the current water depth, ascend, or descend without wasting energy. Fish maws are used in the food industry as a source of collagen, to nourish the skin and is beneficial for health.

Roasted Chicken with Thai Sauce
The Roasted Chicken were savored with Thai Sauce, which is sour and spicy.
Cucumbers, onions and pickled mango slices were shredded on the dish.
The roasted chicken was well done and the chicken meat was tender. The Thai sauce savors the chicken, making the dish very appetizing to the mouth.

Steamed Grouper Hakka Style
The fish was served with spring onions and soya sauce.
The Grouper fish was very fresh and the texture of the fish was very soft.

Thousand Island Sauce Prawn
The prawns were served with the shells fully peeled off, this makes it appealing to those who do not intend to dirty their hands while eating. Even my brother who dislikes eating prawns loved it! Anyway, the prawns were fresh and crunchy, it goes well with the thousand island sauce and sesame seeds.

Black Mushroom & Tao Kan with Bai Ling Mushroom

"Bai" means white in Chinese and "Ling" refers to Lanzi, a valuable edible fungus.
Bai-Ling Mushroom is low in fat, rich in protein, vitamin, carbohydrate, fungal polysaccharide and coarse fiber.

This dish is my dad's favourite as it is plain and not oily, yet appetizing, especially after eating few dishes of ''meaty'' food. The dish was also served along with steamed broccoli. It is quite refreshing while clearing your taste buds to prepare for the closing dish which is fried rice.

Fried Rice with Anchovies
The rice was very soft, starchy and a little wet, unlike other restaurants' fried rice which are usually dry.
The baby anchovies were very crunchy and goes very well with the fried rice.

DESSERTS:

Longan with Soya Milk

Crispy Pan Cake

All in all, the desserts weren't anything special.

Comments:
I will rate this place a worthwhile place to go for a decent Chinese Set Dinner at a reasonable price. The serving is quite reasonably in size; even though the set dinner was prepared for ten, all of us had enough to fill up our stomach. This is surely a good place to visit if you have tight budgets and would like to have a reasonable and decent dinner.
